Battle arena currently hooked to village.  Players battle for gold and prowess.  Battle Arena Champ is listed.  To Do: sorting of rank, additional commentary, additional crowd reaction.  8 opponents of incrementing diffuculty, all very hard to beat.  Player earns the right to battle higher opponents by earning battlepoints and dragon kills.  Rewards, gold and battlepoints.

well here it is.

Well, I would fire up (get it if you don't have it) Mysql control center and rebuild the tables .  You will find it under the tools option.

in dragon.php.... check the comments at the top of the battlearena.php file (open it up in your editor) if there are no comments to that effect redownload the zip file.  For about 5 minutes there was a zip file up without the changes comments.  sorry.... it was way late.. hehe

Uploaded updated version of the Battle Arena this morning.... Now sorts rankings.... made maximus tougher (defence is the key to beating him now).   Added some more commentary for continuity.   More minor updates coming soon.

Updated once again.  Had some more fun with the commentary.  Also added damage meters for player and opponent.  NOW REQUIRES 2 DATABASE FIELDS.... PLEASE READ COMMENTS IN battlearena.php BEFORE INSTALLATION.  Shocked

Ok the script has one flaw of not letting the players see other choices to fight beside the first one regardless of battlepoints or dragonkills. Heres how I fixed it.

if ($session[user][battlepoints] > 12 and $session[user][dragonkills] > 1){ output("`@Vibius `^Level 10`n");}
if ($session[user][battlepoints] > 36 and $session[user][dragonkills] > 2){ output("`2Quintus `6Level 11`n");}
if ($session[user][battlepoints] > 72 and $session[user][dragonkills] > 3) {output("`@Cassius `^Level 12`n");}
if ($session[user][battlepoints] > 120 and $session[user][dragonkills] > 4) {output("`2Lucius `6Level 13`n");}
if ($session[user][battlepoints] > 180 and $session[user][dragonkills] > 5) {output("`@Aurelius `^Level 14`n");}
if ($session[user][battlepoints] > 252 and $session[user][dragonkills] > 7) {output("`2Proximo `6Level 15`n");}
if ($session[user][battlepoints] > 336 and $session[user][dragonkills] > 9) {output("`@Maximus `^Level 15`n");}

Had to incase the outputs in { } so that it eould read them properly.

Great mod and is working well in the castle, thanks!

one other thing that unbalances the game is that it gives the person a full heal if they lose.  so it can be cheaper to lose a battle in the arena, then to pay the healer in the forest.  I changed it to only give them 10 hitpoints.

Yes, but it costs them a forest fight..... and 50 gold.  I personally wouldn't want to give up a turn for a healing.  Thought of doing that, but it kind of deafeats the purpose of going in there if you have to spend all of your gold going out and healing and coming back in.  I see the turn loss as a good offset to the fact that they are healed after the battle.

I have level 14 users being oblitarated by Cicero how hard can it be? Even with added buffs my personal character loose 1/2 the time and what about the others? How does it work on everyone elses's server? Anyone having problems with the toughness?

It is very tough..... the module was meant for those who have killed the dragon a bunch of times..... I have some who can't beat cicero, and others who can easily kill maximus (although not so easily anymore).
