Author Topic: Thieves in the night module  (Read 3756 times)

I just uploaded my first module! It gives a random chance of players being robbed while sleeping in the fields. They can also gain charm and gold from said robberies. I would love the feedback and input of anyone who tries it out.

P.S. - Sorry I didn't add the link to it, but I forgot how to do it. I'll be the bottom folder though so it shouldn't be hard to find.

first thing I see... The user will get robbed, even if he stays in the inn...

oh, no... right... but you could save the user pref...
just put your newday-intercept if-clause to the newday clause and change " == " to " <> "... Then kill the user pref (unless you need it for statistics Wink ) and run nightthief_rob() in any case...

(Don't forget about the other if-clause there...)

But for the rest... looks great Wink nice idea Smiley especially nice, if someone brought all his money to the bank before resting and then gained a lot of gold due to a won pvp... hehe... yes... quite nice... Wink

Thanks for the suggestion Chris. I like that much better. I'll get the new version up on the site as soon as I get time.

EDIT: Tried rewriting the code as described, but apparently screwed something up, so it's gonna stay as it is for now. Problem is, you still get robbed while you are in the inn. I'll try to fix that tonight.

Due to some functionallity issues (like getting attacked while sleeping at the inn) I removed this module. I will put it back up as soon as I get the bugs worked out.
