hi all, was wondering if maybe someone could help me with this one

I'm trying to create another npc (like violet/seth) that players can marry. how can I do this?

right now I'm just using an npc based on lonnys npc code, however this would break things for people not running the actual npc. I'm looking for a way to actually do it with the actual module itself, the way the lovers mod does it with violet/seth.

why don't you try to "require" on of lonny's modules... So that your new marriage module can only be installed, if lonny's module is active?

Running for more than three years now:

Hmmmm...... well first problem I see is that I wouldn't want more than 1 person to marry a NPC (Unlike Violet and Seth)... The second is that any marriage module I have looked at requires that the person proposed to needs to respond.  My only suggestion is to modify the NPC code to check for "marriage" mails before clearing the NPC's mailbox and forwarding them to an admin.  This way and admin could log into the NPC and either accept or refuse proposals.
