Hello everyone,
 Due to my lack of being at home much and accidently leaving BitchX up and screened for weeks on end I sometimes forget to check in on IRC. Which I know isn't something everyone does but I do like hanging out with everyone realtime when I have chance...

So what I decided to do, if anyone is interested I will be more than happy to donate it to the community. I have setup a Jabber server, which for people who do not know, is just like AOL Instant Messenger / ICQ etc. I have set it up privately for the benefit of only the community being online and we can always contact the others, with the ease of not having to search far and wide across ICQ/AIM/Yahoo IM etc..

If your wondering how to connect to it, it is very simple. Trillian is one of the many clients that will connect to jabber AND simultaneously allow you to still use AIM/Yahoo etc. Also there are free clients such as my favorite:

eXodus - http://exodus.jabberstudio.org/

that can be downloaded via: http://jabberstudio.org/projects/exodus/releases/index.php

The server for the Jabber protocol you would connect to would be:
ecsportal.com  
port: 5222  (Most programs do not ask for the port, but if asked that is the port number)

*Note: You would not need to use a SSL connection and the first connect you have to tell it to register your nickname / password with the server*

Anyway, this will also allow for broadcasting to everyone on your buddy list and/or public/private chat rooms.
