I am an admin from Pfft's lotgd fame, as he has been busy with work lately i have decided to take it upon myself to see if i find out what is wrong.
We have had players on our site complaining about their permament HP not carrying over after killing the GD, Gem, DK, and event hp upgrades, are not being carried over.
This has only happened to a few of our number and i am uncertain about how to find and fix this problem.
Has anyone else noticed this happening on their game? Any help would be great.

Do they know what they are doing? I hope they are not complaining about the fact that they lose 140 HP at DK (because that is correct).

I also hope you don't have a certain mod installed that removes permanent HP below the safe threshhold... despite the author being told it could happen...

No our players know that they go back to lvl 1 hp when they get a DK, what they are complaining about is losing the HP they got from other sources that is supposed to stay with them all the time, so instead of haveing 10 hp after the first DK they have like 13 or 14.
And i do not think this is related to a mod because while a few players have had this problem others have not. I for one have not had this happen to my char. Though i have used the user editor to look at, one of the players who is getting this, stats. His starting HP after a DK was at 6 one time, and at 10 the rest, even after using the DK points for +5 hp. Which as we all know is suppose to be permament. Since our game is relativly new only 3 of pour players have even killed the dragon more then 10 times so i do not think this is related to too much hp or whatever.

I'm quite sure it's a mod that is doing this. what's the url of your server?

Hi everyone...  8]
Thanx Samurai...  8]

The URL is www.freepgs.com/azura/lotgd

or you can directly go to the source URL:

I am not really sure what's causing this, because I noticed that when I DK'ed after my 9th (I think), my HP started at 0, and I started in The Graveyard.  One of the other players who recently achieved a DK also received 0 HP at DK.  So I am totally confused as to why it's doing that.   Undecided

You should post this in 0.9.7n section Wink

Firstly I've noticed you have druid forest special installed. Consider this part of the code:
case 5: case 6:
output(" `6You gag on the foul tasting liquid!`n`n");
output(" `6Your maximum hitpoints are `bpermanently`b `^decreased by 1!");
// debuglog("Lost 1 HP from Druid");
In this case you lose 1 permanent HP. After losing many of them you'll find yourself at zero after killing the dragon.
I've been in the same situation, and I have firstly modified the dragon.php script to avoid the players find themself at zero HP. After I've modified ALL the mods that take away permaHP, to avoid MaxHP go down 10+(level*10).
You're surely having the same problem, so you have to look into each mod/forest special to see if you remove PermaHP and act accordingly.

Hope that helps
