This is the fruit of my experimenting with the List Process Module.

This module will kill ALL or Just LOGD98 dead MySql processes.  What you can do with it will depend on your database permisions.  And this utility is ONLY needed if you are running into Too Many Connection errors from MySql.   As long as there are players online this utility will monitor running processes and kill dead ones that have been hanging around longer than the admin settable timeout.   Will NOT Kill active queries....

If you are not having major slowdowns in queries or MySql Connection refusals, you do NOT need this module.   And I must state that since this is killing dead queries, that you run it at your own risk (I've run if for a while now with no problems and no more connection refusals)...

In some of the php driven message boards they have an option to optimize the tables. Now to be honest I really don't know what that does when you do that. Would that be something to look into for LOTGD?

I am not sure of the consequences of optimizing a table while it is in use... I do optimize mine from time to time, but force players offline before doing so....

This has helped my system out so much. This should really be in the core.

You need to go into your account and set up the access. Then, it appears in the grotto.
