Module Name:  Black Unicorn
Category:  Forest Specials
Worktitle:  blunicorn
Version: 3.01
Date:  August 24, 2006
Author:  Lonnyl, converted by DaveS

Description:
I really enjoyed this module on .9.7.  It had a scary quality in that no matter what, if you were under level 7 or 8 you almost always lost to the black unicorn.  But for the chance to capture a black unicorn for a mount... oh the excitement!  Well, Lonny gave me permission to convert this one over so here it is.

Just to be a pain Dave, do I have to turn the three occurances of it on in the mount editor to make it become a mount?

You don't have to do anything with the mount editor for this to work.

The program installs the mount.  Players will only deal with it as a mount if you capture it.

If you want to have the unicorn available in the stables, you'll have to turn the occurrences on in the Mount editor.

Well, you only should have 1...problem is, whenever you install or modify the module settings, it adds another Black Unicorn mount to the db, irrespective of whether there already exists one or not.

v3.01

Okay, I wasn't getting a new mount id on my test server with setting changes, but I added a check for the black unicorn... hopefully that will eliminate it for you Iori.

Hi there,

ive got a Problem, every time a Player catch the Unicorn an SQL Error occured.

Code:
SELECT * FROM mounts where mountid=
You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
Call Stack:
1: db_query("SELECT * FROM mounts wher...") called from /www/htdocs/v082290/rpg/modules/blunicorn.php on line 69
2: blunicorn_runevent("forest", "forest.php?") called from /www/htdocs/v082290/rpg/lib/modules.php on line 1100
3: module_do_event("forest", "blunicorn", false, "forest.php?") called from /www/htdocs/v082290/rpg/lib/events.php on line 51
4: handle_event("forest") called from /www/htdocs/v082290/rpg/forest.php on line 16

Want can i do to fix that? thx for help.

Hmmm.... I don't quite know what that's from.

Check to see what the setting is for the mount id#. If this is 0, you need to change it to the mount id (get that from the mount editor).

If all else fails, try uninstalling the module and re-installing it.  You may have to manually re-assign black unicorns to players as compensation though.

Player just sent this petition in for this:

Captured a Black Unicorn, and got this coding:

Ive noticed that hardly no captured black unicorns exist. Ive never caught one and this is the first petition. Anything I can do?

if you get the error, please post the buff list ...

it seems something in the code does nasty things.

my first assumption is, that there is no apply_buff() called, but $session['user']['bufflist'] directly called, like in most older modules.

I have not checked the source code, though.
