Date: October 8, 2005

Credits:
Inspired by bioinformation.php by Keith - Converted by:Kevin Hatfield - Arune
Also, module allows bioequip.php by Chris Vorndran to take priority if it is also installed

Description:
Allows for settings so that EVERYONE can view  any of:
gold, goldinbank, gems, experience, charm, weapon, armor, attack, defense, hitpoints, maxhitpoints, turns, pvps, favor, and laston. Also allows for any of the above to be viewed as a preference (would be shown in red in Bio).

May be useful for your Staff to have a quick way to see what players are doing.

PLEASE NOTE:  Default setting leaves the "Last Time On" as ON otherwise EVERYTHING else is off.

Clarification:

If you use the PREFERENCES:
If you turn on the viewing options for a player (most likely a superuser), the superuser will be able to see those details about ALL players.

Other players cannot see the stats of the superuser.

The preferences let superusers see information at a glance about other players.

If you use the SETTINGS:
Everyone will be able to see everything.

The settings allow more information to be displayed in the bio.

I just upgraded my test server from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 and now the bio viewing mod isn't working properly.  The settings AND individual prefernces were preserved.  All the additional fields still show up in the bio (the ones that aren't activated for all users in red, the ones that are in yellow), but they have no values.

I don't recall if it was like this in 1.1.0, but I did notice that in the process of checking in 1.1.1 that viewing a person's bio takes you out of the grotto (when you are in the user editer, and you click "view bio", it takes you first to the "new day" page).  However, this does not explain everything because even the information that is set to be visible to all users doesn't give a value.  Why is it always me that has such odd ball problems with your mods?

I think this is Login Name => Account ID change from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 - almost all modules and code that used to use the Login Name for displaying or manipulating stats now used the unique player number (account ID). It was necessary because nothing actually stopped admins from changing the login name so that it was no longer unique. If all your sql queries did NOT fetch the account ID, then all your displays using those bits of 1.1.1 will be empty.

I haven't looked into this module but I suspect that if you replace the login name with the account ID in the code, you'll solve the problem.

Actually bio.php will both support numerical and non numerical parameters.

The only problem might be, that your login is actually a number. THAT will cause errors... Wink

Rotfl, did you over-cleverise it, like strtotime() that helpfully makes its own decision on whether 1/6/07 is the 1st of June or the 6th of January if you don't specify? Wink

...Login Name can't be numbers-only unless an admin did that in the editor... so something else borked here...

Roll Eyes And strtotime() can pick the right date. I guess it'll choose from the activated "locale" what date it is.

Using "/" as month/day/year separator is a good argument for "M/D/Y" (as it's "D.M.Y" when used that way... Wink )

V3.01

Updated to work with 1.1.1.

In other words, if you're using 1.1.0, it probably won't work if you use the latest version.
