can the old layouts be used with the new daenerys ?

@Aeolus : i have checked fandomkingdom before, there is a lot going on in that template :-D .
I think it does not match a fantasy setting , but then again, i don't know the Gameplay in your site, maybe its less of a fantasy thing.

I would be glad to try my luck for a skin for daenerys with a JRPG / RPG theme, and maybe for the old LOTG. There are a couple of impressive skins out there, like the one at https://www.atrahor.de/ .

Ill see if i can put some time aside :-D

That IS one hell of an awesome skin!!  Wish I could get it.
I am terrible with templates, though.  After several miserable failures...I decided to leave it in the hands of a friend who runs a different site, who has always been willing to share this stuff with me...in exchange for my looking over php code for him, and especially sql calls...and the occasional interesting unique module.

Daenerys (LotGD Rewrite) Progress Update 5. April 2019

It's been ages. Motivation was severely lacking, mainly because of the new technologies that I was not able to wrap my head around long enough to make decent progress. Additionally, working nearly alone on 3 different main packages and implementing changes in all three after each other (core, crate, then client) was something that took way too much time.

Screw this.

I've decided to streamline development and not focus on a modern graphql approach, even though the advantages (dynamic interface!) would have been awesome. Doing it alone, as a non-export in modern JavaScript-technologies, was just not feasable. There is now a new crate (crate-html) that renders direct html. This way, I only have 2 branches to work on (core and crate) and features can make it much more quickly into the crate.

I'm proud to announce the release of version 0.5.0 of the core version, along with 0.5.0 of crate-html. I've attached a screenshot as a teaser Wink

New are some general fixes, update symfony dependencies to symfony 4, adding two admin commands (one to list characters, one to reset a characters viewpoint) and character stats. The client is compatible with it, but lacks currently an installer. This is the next part, then I can focus back to the attachments. The, imho, most important change is the move from auto_increment to randomly generated uuids. This allows to connect entities before submitting them to the database.

Generally, the game loop runs with all installed modules. Characters can log in, walk around the city, go into the forest, fight, and earn experience. The only thing lacking is earning gold, and being able to buy weapons. I have not yet tested the level-up or the green dragon.

Next Goals (It's the same as last time)
The next goals is implement "attachments" in graphql so that scenes can provide forms (for gold deposit in the bank, for chatting on the village square, and much more). For modules, we plan to extend module-forest to provide a hook for specials and provide a basic inventory system for armors and weapons.

Huh.  I will have to look into that.  I never had too do that on my old server...it just plain came up.

I found other errors in the EsperMage module, but easily fixable...the names of the Esper's Abilities was not displaying in fightnavs.
I solved that one on my own.

A white page almost always means an error in the code. Check your error logs.
That is what I did, and how I found it.
See, I am used to a white screen that says "Parse error, unexpected ] on line 69 in module.php" or some such.

But on my new server, all i get is the white screen.  I was reading some other problems on this board and someone mentioned the error logs and I was like...DUHHHHHH....so I checked my error logs and there it was...and I found my problem before you posted this.

But thanks.  It is a good thing to remember...you DO have an error log at the server level that usually captures this stuff.

I just so seldom had to use it on the old server I literally almost forgot it was there.  LOL.

Ok, I have no idea why this is not working.

But every time I would get a place where I would have a battle (not a fight till end but only one where the specialty uses shoul show up) - I get a white screen.  So something doesn't work...but it also does not tell me what.

I am running 1.1.2

Any ideas what is happening, and why it will not work?

I have set Companions to be possible in Game settings, and set max Companions to 1.

Is this something that really WILL only work with 1.1.1 and not even with 1.1.2??  I am curious.

I have other AW Specialties running on my site, like White and Black mage for example.

UPDATE:  Found it myself.  Line 69 in nocooldownnavs...had a close bracket where it should not have been.

It's been a long time since I've touched any of the code, but it sounds like your PHP is erroring out somewhere - have you made any modifications to anything (translations, modules etc?)

I suggest finding your PHP Error file, it may give more insight as to what is going wrong - I'm not sure of your setup, so may pay to google something like "PHP Error file Ubuntu" or whatever. If it's on a host that uses cPanel or the like, there is generally a log stored somewhere.

I seem to remember the White Screen being pretty common yonks ago, so may pay to keep searching on the forums for potential solutions. When you have your error, try searching that up too, someone else may be in the same boat.

Hey guys,

I did some search in the forums and couldn't seem to find this specific situation. When users login, they end up on a white screen, no info on there and nothing else showing up.

Here are some things I've noticed:
The URL shows them landing on badnav.php.
Game is updated and set to work with newer PHP versions.
Game version is 1.1.2.
Fresh install, not upgrade.
Registering and playing immediately afterwards works fine. When logging back in after being out, the white screen appears.
Uninstalling all modules didn't help.

Viewing the source code, it only generates this:

Have been looking at the PHP for 4 days now. It happened very suddenly.
