I know 2 of such events on Hogwartslive: Mrs Norris can be kicked or not, if you kick her you sometimes get a reward, sometimes you are killed; but your alignment always goes down. If you let her be and don't kick her you only get good alignment and no other reward. Another module is about a Sicilian who kidnapped a princess, if you accept his challenge and drink one of the glasses of wine (one of them is poisoned) you can be killed, robbed but also you can be rewarded if the Sicilian kills himself. But your alignment always goes up; if you refuse the challenge you don't take the risks, but your alignment goes down. Are these the scenario's you referred to? Or are there more of them? Conclusion: you get the reward (if you do good) in the alignment statistics. Concerning the Sicilian I would introduce the bezoar to help the player, but when I start discussing this, I must start a new topic. Now it feels more like playing Russian roulette and not as a challenge to show your wittyness. But with the old man scenario's I currently see on Hogwartslive, these are more straightforward and doing good results in a reward; but my point is, I sometimes am rewarded/punished without me doing anything, and that's the point I would like to change.

If you still are looking for a Fantasy writer, I am curious about this role. Could you please send me a private message with the does and don'ts, where to post drafts for scenario's etc. Are the scenario's related to the song of Ice and fire, or is Daenerys simply the name for the new project? I'm used with the game Hogwartslive and have worked on drafts for scenario's related to that game, but some of the drafts possibly could be made more general, so that they would fit in other games too. Currently, one of my scenario's is worked on, by TGTarheel, the fairy in teh spider's web module with more interaction possibilities for the player. But for being sure we are talking about the same things, I propose to send me a private message, so that we can discuss non-topic-related issues over there or by mail. Thanks in advance. Best, WW

I'm not copying modules of hl or whatever; I only have the impression on hl there are more modules that react at random in which the player can't do anything and not modules that can be interacted with by the player. I only am trying to suggest improvements to modules to make them more challenging for the players. I often encounter that old man and am rewarded or punished, as I said, without me doing anything or having the possibility to do anything to deserve that reward or punishment. The issue is, that Hogwartslive or hl is currently not accepting ideas for new scenario's or improvements and the petition form is the only way to contact the staff members of hl. So, I suppose it's more easy for hl to come to dragonprime and eventually find updated modules or new versions of modules they currently use and implement these than rewriting modules they use themselves. Why inventing the wheel if it already exists? And why to try to build a improved wheel if you don't have the tools to do that, if there's a place where you can find the tools and the knowledge and use the improved wheels they have over there? The only thing I wanted to do, is sharing my thoughts about the wheels I already know and propose some improvements to let the carriage travel more smoothly. I'm not skilled to rewrite modules, the only thing I can do is delivering ideas and scenario's. Hope this clarifies the things? Best, WW

Dear I found the following module info for the event in the forest in which I meet an old man:

Short Description: Player randomly stumbles across an old man and can bet against him for gold, gain favor and many other things.... "

On Hogwartslive I often meet this old man and find it frustrating the old man is punishing/rawarding me without me doing anything to deserve that punishment or reward. I e.g. often encounter an old necromancer that takes a permanent hitpoint from me, I can't do anything to protect myself, I didn't do something wrong to him.

I would suggest to add some interaction, so that the player can take action to deserve a punishment or to earn a reward, to give the player the chance to fight the necromancer etc. I surely would help the poor old man that's lost in the forest as I currently do, or would help him by carrying his heavy bag with wood or apples or vegetables. In Hogwartslive there's no wise old man I can meet in the forest, what a pitty; And why not composing a module with an old woman? I saw on a game a forest event in which I could help an old woman by carrying some wood or heavy basket to her house. ... Just some ideas. Hope they help in making the games more challenging. okay concerning spider and fight; we are using the same line. I don't know the correct proverb in English, but in Dutch we would say "on the same ???golflengte". I'll go on with writing the scenario for the fairy thing. Best, WW

I was reacting on your passage about working with the fairy in spider's web; I would like to have a fight with the spider like you have to fight Gorgon or tatoo monster; there's a fight. But on Hogwartslive, there's a challenge with 3 castles: Wyvern Keep, Castle Slaag and Draco's Dungeon; after chosing an option where to go, you sometimes come into a fight; but the game decides what's the result, you as player can't do anything. So with fairy thing: I want to have a fight in which the player can actively participate; not a fight as described in the 3 castles challenge.
You also wrote about the potions recipe notes on your game and that I had to use the notepath thing to get the recipes. Well, as I wasn't used to do this on Hogwartslive, I didn't save the notes on notepath, I thought this parts of notes would end up in my inventory or somewhere else to consult them later and to put the parts together.

concerning our fairy and spider event: I prefer the fight with the spider would be a fight like fight with gorgon or other fights in forest, not a fight you don't have to duel as player (like the current freing the fairy thing). Mount and other buffs could be used, I hope? On hogwartslive there's no notepath thing, so I lost the notes. Best, WW

On your site I like the fact there are nany sections in the forest like lumber yard docks, ... that aren't on hogwartslive. I even found a kind of arena thing and perhaps this could do the trick? In the books of Harry Potter, Harry had to participate in the triwizard tournament and he had to do 3 tasks. Perhaps we could locate the thoug opponents I had in mind for the most difficult section of the forest over there, and also the more strategic events? I wish I could test out the desert. And perhaps making a module for finding pages would be great too? Now I can find gems and gold; but if I could find pages of books, magazines and newspapers etc. I could save the pages in the library and after saving enough pages I could make a newspaper, book, magzaine, .... Now I can't locate the notes of potion recipes I found on your game; it's also not dedectable if I lost them after killing the dragon, ...

Wow a second forest wasn't my intention. I simply would make an extra level in which monsters from the underworld or bonemarrow beast and other creatures turn up; besides some tough opponents and strategic gaming asking events. Best, WW

They currently don't use frosty the snowman, they did last christmas time; not now; this year it seems there also won't be a christmas tree contest; I didn't find Frosty too. But I think they didn't use the most recent version last year. Are you also on Hogwartslive? If yes, you could me send a friendship request over there, same username as here. But stayin on topic over Frosty: I still regret the fact that only turns can be used for helping that crying girl, although gems and gold are available. Best, WW

I like this event, but I would suggest you to add some options: I wrote a scenario in which the player doesn't remain passively: he/she can chose to ignore the goat, same result as is currently the case; they can bring the goat to a grassy field to feed it =good; bring it to someone who knows how to care for goats =good; or decide to kill the poor beast =bad. Perhaps I need another bad scenario? What about bringing it to the Gorgon to save his/her own life from being killed? Just some ideas. Best, WW
