There has to be a fix in AJAX.  Really there has to be.  I dont want to have to take AJAX off my site....As the reason Jolly posted this was cause it was all over my site...

The one thing that confuses me are tables.  If it has to be a table and form that part I dont know if I'll get right.

HogwartsLive? That's using beans to get tickets, which you find on the site. This is using gold to get tickets, which you find on the site. Basically nothing different, as they're both a type of currency.

Right but beans is the alt currency of some kind.  You just dont know how many beans you have till you go to the raffle area and when you find another bean.

Something manual that is random? That makes no sense either. And yes. 1) There's a news topic added, 2) It's saved in the settings, and 3) It's displayed in the village for all to see.

What I mean is...You click pick winner and when you click it one is chosen at random.


Date the raffle ends is displayed in the village.

Can it be displayed in the raffle page also?  Like you enter the raffle page and see the option to buy tickets and whatever arbitrary text is there and then under is a table that says:

Buy Ticket* | Raffle description | Total Tickets Bought | Winner

* click it and it opens to a page to buy tickets from, with a return to main raffle page or adds a collapsible form that you can buy tickets from and when you buy tickets it goes away and then comes back when you click buy tickets again.

How many tickets bought is displayed in the character stats as "{your number of tickets}/{total tickets}"

Refer to previous statement.

Winner is displayed in the village.

Refer to 2 statements before this.  Also could there be an admin settable option to turn this off?

I don't understand how alt currency works, never used it before. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to do though - find everywhere the gold and gems are used, and do the same for alt currency. Basically copy and paste, which you yourself have said you're a copy-and-paste type of coder.

Yea I would have to see the alt currency module and see how its coded and see how this is coded for buying tickets and make it used with alt currency and if I dont get it I'm sure my staffer, Jamoki might be able to help me since he messed with alt currency before.

What I meant by that is...You click edit on the user in the DJ list if they werent meant to be there and remove them via the way the note says too.  Then go in and add 256 to the DJ list since thats what you meant.  Easy as pie.

See I like how it was on this site...You used something called beans to buy the tickets and if you didnt really like the prize that was going to be given out then you just didnt buy tickets and went and fought in the forest and clicked everywhere on the site to randomly find more beans and then when you have a lot of beans you buy as many tickets as possible to get the prize you want.  It was 10 beans a ticket.

Could it be set have a manual winner picker, still chosen at random, if not does it tell staff who was chosen?  Also is there a way to have an admin settable form made that displays a table similar to the list of warriors or staff list for format that shows the prize going to be given (admin settable via a blank text box so the prize description can be entered and not just selected like just saying gold or gems or donation points), the date the raffle ends (admin settable - runs off server time not game time), how many tickets already bought for the raffle (counted and added by the module), and the winner (added on to the table by the module if possible)?  Would it also be possible to set it to use alt currency so that you could buy the tickets with alt currency and set how much alt currency it costs per ticket?  You can still leave in the cost thats already there and just ask which way you are having them pay is it gold, gems or alt currency and then enter how much of it per ticket. 

Sorry if this is a lot to as for...But I think more options the better.

You would fix it for 257 and change 257 to 256 after deleting 257 all together...But Im going to fix it so that I'm the only one that sees staff list links of all kinds so that the numbering isnt messed up (on TC only not Nightflay's site).  I tried to add in the other user id options and its not working.  Could you tell me how to do it for the other lists?

Does it have options to go in and press a button to pick the winner at random and have an option to not automatically give out a prize, to actually be able to give it out myself in case its a prize not settable in the module, like a book or a shirt?

It works great.  Just one question thought.  Is there a way to get the user id form filed box in the dj list tab and host/hostess list tab and actual input the id and work and set that section on the staff list?  I got it working to show the form at the bottom for the lists...I just dont want to have to keep using the staff list tab to input ids so I can set them on each list.  I want all the functions right from each tab.

They are all on the stafflist.  Its on TC like that and 3 of them since Nightflay's site didnt need all 5 are on that stafflist file I showed you earlier.  But TC needs all 5.

I copied it from another code..I can fix it.  I dont mind.  The fixed file will be updated in previous post.  Also how do you get it to add more tabs with form displays for more tables on the staff list, like on TC?  There are 5 tables on the staff list there, all with editors in the UE for who is on what list.  How do I get that here in one module?  An example of how to do it or at least one more added so I can see how would help me greatly cause then I can just copy it 3 more times.



Edit:  Actually those 9 lines have to be there because as you can see 2 of them are showing when you tell the module setting to show it on the staff list in the village.  So if you tell it to show there, it tells it to show in the grotto staff list editor also.  I'd make it one line if you could do that with it still calling for the pref, but you cant.

I did that fix and changed it up a bit to have a better form display and added in sex and the option to only see the fields if you have them displaying in the stafflist module settings (only did it for those in the module settings).  The updated file is attached.

We did that already.  Because of the error with the races and the cities not syncing.  The section chat was taken off in the process and put back on.  Still the same error.  So I dont know.
